The Order of the North Star — Grand Cross Star with Diamonds was presented to the renowned polar explorer Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld in 1880 in recognition of his scientific and exploratory achievements. (Exhibitd at The Royal Palace of Stockholm)

The photo of the box shows the box with the Hallmark of jeweller Christian Hammer of Stockholm Sweden.

KINGDOM OF SWEDEN Royal Order of the North Star [Kungliga Nordstjärneorden] (1748).
The Breast Star for the Grand Cross [storkors kraschan], 4th issue (with smooth cross arm fields - since 1951), was made by an unidentifiable maker in Stockholm in 1960. It is made of 830/000 silver, and the pin block bears the maker's mark 'CASIA' (!) as well as the Stockholm city hallmark, silver hallmarks and year mark 'K9'.
